At Onside Community Consulting, we support charities and community facing organisations across strategic planning, income generation, charity governance, and operational delivery.
The full range of services offered covers a broad range, and while the list below is not an exhaustive list, some examples include:

Project Management, Development and Design - Programme delivery has been a constant throughout my career, and has involved delivery, design, and often supporting others to lead. This covers the initial idea and evidence phase, through to design and implementation.
Fundraising - I have extensive experience at identification of Trusts and Foundations as well as writing bids and cases for support, including tenders. I have also been part of organisations and teams who have utilised a range of different fundraising methods and techniques.
Measuring and Reporting Social Impact - This area is one where charities often struggle. With extensive background and experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation have been a constant. Whether that be designing the appropriate methods and techniques to capture outcomes and outputs, writing case studies, or working with different platforms, I have a range of experience to call upon.
Strategy Review and Development - Many organisations I have supported either don’t have a clear strategy, or the one they have no longer works as intended. My background and perspective can help identify blind spots, uncover new opportunities and bring greater clarity and alignment.
Action Planning - Every project benefits from having a clear and realistic plan, but people and organisations work in different ways, and there’s never a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. Having used and created a wide variety of action‑planning formats, I can help shape a plan that is practical, and tailored to the needs of the project, the organisation, and the individuals involved. My aim is to create something that genuinely supports progress rather than adding unnecessary complexity.
Stakeholder Mapping - Understanding your stakeholders is hugely valuable, especially at times when collaboration, local insight, and strong partnerships are essential for funders and for delivering meaningful, community‑led projects. Often, the information already exists within a team but isn’t pulled together in a way that’s accessible or useful, and there are usually gaps of varying sizes. I can support you in both scenarios: helping to organise what you already know, identifying the missing pieces, and developing a clear, practical document and forward plan that will help you get the most out of the mapping process.
Research - Underpins almost every area of work, helping to strengthen funding proposals, shape projects and provide clear, informed insight for decision-making.
Report writing - Most programmes or organisations will, at some point, need a report produced. Typically this will be for funders, trustees, annual impact report, or a range of other reasons. Quite often though, capacity or area of expertise become factors, and the end product can be one that doesn’t reflect the work or the impact it has achieved on individuals, communities, or organisations.
Business and Interim Support - For a variety of reasons, there have been times where myself or teams I led could have benefitted from having someone to step in and help out, either to assume sole responsibility until a situation had been resolved, through to offering an extra pair of hands. Whatever the circumstance, situation or timeline, if you need an extra pair of hands, I might be able to help out.
